A game where you play as a sausage is never going to be serious, we think we can all agree on that. Sausage Man is a battle royale that takes the silliness of being a sausage and throws in overweight dragons, fire-farting ponies and more.
The game has just soft-launched in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, with the regional beta set to expand over the coming weeks to The Philippines, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries. We reckon a global launch shouldn’t be too far behind.
There are two maps in the soft-launch version – one, Battle Island is 8x8km, the other, Rainbow Island is 4x4km. There are other modes too – an 8v8 team battle and a 28 player quick party mode. All of them focus on destruction, shooting and madness. Sausagey madness.
It’s nice to see a battle royale trying to do something a bit different. We’re getting a bit sick of the standard format, and adding a bit of zaniness could well be the cure to our current BR malaise. So long as the shooting is still good, that is. Wackiness doesn’t fix borked bullets, so we’ll have to see how it all works.
