Bandai Namco just dropped their much-awaited game SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL. You can now throw together your own squad of Mobile Suits from across the entire Gundam multiverse. That’s not it, you then get to watch them wreck shop in turn-based battles!

SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL Has A LOT OF Suits!

There are over 500 Mobile Suits from 70 different Gundam series. There’s everything from the classic Mobile Suit Gundam to newer stuff like the Witch from Mercury.

You can mix and match characters and Suits from different timelines and form your own team. You can see how Iron-Blooded Orphans’ Barbatos fares alongside Wing Zero. Or see how SEED’s Freedom rolls with Zeta’s Hyaku Shiki.

The game has a Main Stage mode where you actually play through stories from ten different Gundam series. If you grew up watching these, there’s a lot to dig into.

The titles included are Mobile Suit Gundam, Z Gundam: A New Translation, Gundam ZZ, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, After War Gundam X, Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, Iron-Blooded Orphans and Witch from Mercury.

You’ll get all the familiar quotes and key scenes as you play through the missions. The devs are planning to add more Suits and characters after launch, so the lineup’s only going to grow.

What’s the Gameplay Like?

It’s a turn-based strategy game. You think through your unit placements, time your skills right and play to each unit’s strengths and weaknesses. Take a peek at the latest launch trailer of SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL below.

There’s also a development system where over 300 Mobile Suits are available to unlock right from the start. It lets you customize and upgrade your units. You can develop your own style and build a squad that fits how you like to play.

And starting April 22nd, there’s a limited-time event lined up called Red Gundam(0085). It’s part of the Fierce Enemy Assault series, and it’s only unlocked once you hit Player Rank 5. Get the game from the Google Play Store to try it out.
