Snapbreak Games is bringing its surreal underwater puzzle-adventure game to mobile. I’m talking about Silt, which is currently available in early access on Android. The full launch is scheduled for January 26th, 2026, on both Android and iOS.
The game has elements of horror and surrealism
You’re a lone diver, submerged in a black-and-white nightmare filled with eerie lifeforms, ancient machinery, and dead silence. There’s no HUD, no inventory, and no upbeat mission log guiding you forward.
You’re left to figure things out on your own. The only way to navigate the ocean’s puzzles is by possessing sea creatures, temporarily becoming them to access new areas or trigger reactions. It’s a strange mechanic where you can expect unsettling encounters.
Silt leans into shadowy visuals and psychological unease, more about drifting and observing than reacting and crafting. On that note, catch a glimpse of the Silt early access trailer below.
As you can see, the art style plays a big part in setting the tone. Every frame in Silt is hand-drawn by artist Mr Mead. It has a sketchbook-like texture, which makes the visuals more surreal.
Silt is now out in early access
In the game, you’re swimming through decay, history, and things best left alone. The creatures are strange, sometimes massive, and often unsettling. You can’t fight them, but you can take control.
You’ll find ruins and long-buried secrets scattered through the depths. There’s also a narrative thread hidden between the visuals, hinted at through the environment and interactions.
Snapbreak Games has a history with visually engaging titles like Lost in Play and Tiny Robots: Portal Escape. Silt is their darker, more experimental title. Silt is now available in early access in some regions. So, check it out on the Google Play Store.
