Slay the Spire, the hugely popular and influential card-battling roguelike from MegaCrit Games, is coming to Android on the 3rd of February. That’s one week today.
Originally released on PC and consoles in 2019, before arriving on iOS in 2020, Slay the Spire is a genre-mashing deck-bulder that sees you choosing a character, receiving a certain ration of health. gold, attack and defense cards, and so on, and then working your way upwards through a spire.
Slay the Spire is pretty much universally acclaimed, thanks to its fast-paced gameplay and infinite variety.
However, the iOS port took some flak at launch owing to controls that were poorly optimized for the small screen. How much that bothers you will depend on the size of your thumbs, your general dexterity, and your tolerance for imperfection.
We’re not entirely sure how much Slay the Spire will cost when it hits the Google Play Store next week, but it’s $9.99 on iOS so you can expect it to be the same or thereabouts.
