Mobilebits, the team behind the SoulCraft franchise on Android, has released a bit of a surprise today called Heroes of SoulCraft which is the company’s new MOBA game based off of the SoulCraft world. What is even more interesting is the fact that this particular MOBA can be played cross-platform with other players on mobile or on PC. There is even support for Android TV along with controller support.
Update: March 26th, 2015 12:14pm PST: Mobilebits has release Heroes of SoulCraft worldwide. You can grab a copy for free through the link at the bottom of this article. Do keep in mind this is still considered an early release version, so there might be a bug or two. However, if you watched our TwitchTV stream yesterday, you would have seen that the game can be quite fun.
Heroes of SoulCraft is a MOBA game, meaning teams of players will go up against each other in an attempt to destroy the other team’s base. In this particular game, players have the option of joining into a 2vs2 match which has a 5 minute time period, or a 4vs4 match which lasts for 15 minutes. As for playable characters, this game comes with over 12 heroes available to play which range across different attack types such as melee, ranged, mages, and so on.
Heroes of SoulCraft Features:
– Angels vs. Demons team battle: Heroes of SoulCraft (HoS) is an Arcade MOBA in which 2 teams fight against each other in fast-paced, tactical matches full of action and fun.
– Play 5 or 15 minutes: Play a 5 minute 2vs2 game on your mobile phone with instant matchmaking or Play several 15 minute 4vs4 games on your tablet or PC.
– Choose your hero: Select one of 12+ heroes: play the melee dwarf “furious axe” Grimnor, the range fighter “loose cannon” Keely, the mage supporter “flower princess” Dalia or many more.
– Easy to learn: Heroes of SoulCraft makes it very easy to learn the basics within a minute. Over time you can choose to do more things manually like skilling or item-buying for the full MOBA experience.
– Unleash your titan: Ever wanted to take a huge fire dragon or a big rock golem into the battle? Now you can! Choose your titan to accompany you and customize your Hero by pre-configuring your item-deck.
If a player leaves a match before it is finished, the game will allow for a new player to join. This way teams won’t be down a player if this happens or be stuck with a crappy AI controlled hero. As for in-game items, players can essentially create their own loadouts before matches to better suit their play style. This includes a companion that will help you out in battle called Titans.
Right now Heroes of SoulCraft is being labeled as an Alpha release and because of this Mobilebits has only released this game in Europe for right now. As for a US release, we contacted Mobilebits and there isn’t an exact release date for our region just yet. However, they are hoping to have it available for the USA in April 2015 if all goes well. The PC version is also available for everyone to download on the game’s official website.
