The Super Meat Boy Forever mobile release date is finally here, a whopping six years after the initial announcement. It launched on a bunch of other platforms first, so mobile players have waited quite a while for the port.

A Bargain!

However, now that it’s out, we can celebrate! It’s available on Google Play for the low price of £0.89 – a bargain. This is pretty neat considering that it retails for £15.49 on Steam. With the price dropping so drastically, you’re probably assuming that the mobile version is missing a ton of content – luckily for us, it’s not. The Super Meat Boy Forever mobile release has all of the content from the original release on consoles/PC.

What is Super Meat Boy Forever?

The game itself is the sequel to the beloved title, Super Meat Boy. It contains over 6,000 stages, providing you with hours upon hours of gameplay. Now, the beauty of mobile releases is that you can play on the go, though playing such a rage-inducing game may not be the best idea during your work commute.

Dr. Fetus makes his return to cause chaos once again and ends up kidnapping Meat Boy and Bandage Girl’s child, Nugget. Understandably, Meat Boy vows to save his daughter and defeat Dr. Fetus for good this time. You’ve probably guessed by now that Super Meat Boy Forever takes place a few years after the end of the first Super Meat Boy, meaning it’s the perfect time to delve back into Meat Boy’s world of destruction.

If you aren’t familiar with the premise of Super Meat Boy, it’s basically a fast-paced, high-impact auto-runner platformer. It’s certainly not for everyone, especially if you’re not a fan of stressful games, but it’s definitely addictive. For more games to play, take a look at our Best New Android Games This Week guide!
