Developer of games like Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, Supercell has been cooking something all this time and has just given us a glimpse of it. Called Boat Game, Supercell’s new creation is now recruiting for its first alpha test. Interested? Keep reading.
The game was announced in the most low-key way possible, with Supercell’s community manager Frame sharing a teaser trailer on X (formerly Twitter). It’s now up on YouTube as well which you’ll get to see in a bit.
For the alpha test of Supercell’s new Boat Game, you can sign up using this link. The devs are being selective about who gets in. Their sign-up page makes it clear that only a limited number of players will get access, and they’re looking for a diverse group of testers.
So, What Type of a Game Is Boat Game?
Well, that’s a mystery as of now. From the trailer, it looks like a mix of third-person shooting and boat combat, which is already an interesting combo. You’re sailing the high seas, dodging cannon fire.
Then, you’re on an island, running and gunning with pirates. There are also some strange, surreal clips which hint at it being a battle royale (maybe?). Anyway, you can watch the trailer right of Supercell’s new Boat Game here and decide for yourself if you want to sign up for the alpha test.
There was news that Supercell was working on a third-person shooter project last year, codenamed ‘boatgame.’ So, maybe this is it. Or maybe it’s just one of their titles which probably won’t even get a proper launch. After all, Supercell has a history of launching and scrapping games pretty quickly if they don’t hit the mark.
