A lot of gamers use Teamspeak for talking with teammates or guildies, depending on the game you play, for a lot of reasons whether it is to plan a raid or, more often than not, provide better teamwork in FPS (first-person shooter) games. We also know a lot of people want a mobile version, especially for Android.
Well the good news is, it is on it’s way. It’s still under development and to give you an idea as to what stage it is at, the iOS version is still in late-alpha/early-beta development stages. We did see a working version of Teamspeak 3 for iOS during GDC 2011 but there wasn’t an Android version being shown off just yet.
So how do we know Teamspeak 3 is coming to Android? Well for one the developers have mentioned on the Teamspeak forums that there will be mobile versions for multiple platforms coming soon. Another reason is that we already know of one developer who is working with Teamspeak to bring it to his game on Android.
We are sworn to secrecy right now though as to whom the developer is and what game they are working on regarding bringing Teamspeak to it. As soon as we get the thumbs-up to mention more though, we will. Until then, we all have to be patient while we wait for the Teamspeak crew to get the mobile versions done.
