Telltale Games teases new Batman game ahead of E3 announcement

Batman is one of DC Comic Books most popular characters. Fans of the comics and gamers, will soon have the best of both worlds, as Batman’s universe is expanded into a new format. Enter first class game developer TellTale Games, with a new Batman game that should be arriving this summer to mobile devices.

To be released by Telltale games, BATMAN – The Telltale Series is an upcoming Batman game. Telltale has released a ‘first look’ at their upcoming game, set to arrive this summer, as a five part series. The game is set to include quite the cast of characters: Bruce Wayne (played by Troy Baker), Vicki Vale (Erin Yvette), Alfred (Enn Reitel), Lt Gordon (Murphey Guyer), Carmine Falcone/The Roman (Richaed McGonagle), and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Laura Bailey).

The game is designed to function as a “living, breathing comic book” while retaining Telltale’s RPG style of gameplay. “We’ve been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “The complex life and fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne has lent itself to becoming a bold evolution of the signature ‘Telltale’ role-playing experience, and we couldn’t be more excited as we prepare to debut the series to players across the world this summer.” -Telltale Games

The game is set to be released this summer, though no specific date was announced. If their typical pricing holds for this game, the first episode will likely be free, with subsequent episodes costing $5 a piece. Telltale also mentioned that they’ll be offering a season pass, so the entire series can be purchased for less; other season passes run for $15, making it $3 each for the whole set.
