Telltale Games will hold the “World’s Largest Let’s Play” event for the Minecraft: Story Mode world premier

The first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will be premiering later this month on all platforms. Telltale Games is planning a pretty big event as well for this world premier. In what the company is calling the ‘World’s Largest Let’s Play’ event, there will be the Minecraft community, Telltale fans, YouTubers and streamers along with some of the cast and crew coming together to play the game.

Everyone involved will be able to cheer on and offer directions to how the first episode will play out when the event takes place. So how will this all happen? Well for starters there will need to be a big screen. So the event will be taking place at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, CA. With that said, seating is obviously limited within the theater itself. However, everyone not at the theater will be able to join in and participate via the YouTube Gaming stream Telltale Games will be hosting as part of the event.

The company did a smaller version of this during PAX Prime with Tales from the Borderlands, and apparently it went quite well. So now they are going to do a massive version of it for the world premier of Minecraft: Story Mode. For those of you interested in participating, you can tune in over on YouTube Gaming on Monday October 12th at 7pm PT/10pm ET. This is the day before Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1: The Order of the Stone shows up on every platform’s storefront, on October 13th.

If we can, we will be embedding the video stream and chat here on our site as well to help actually make this the world’s biggest Let’s Play event. In the meantime, if you missed the newest trailer, you can check it out below.
