The Battle Cats have just launched a massively exciting collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog, and it’s very simple to get involved.
It’s running from the 4th of August until the 18th of August, and offers you the chance to play maps based on iconic stages from the Sega title.
It also boasts cat versions of a range of Sonic characters, as well as Rare Capsules featuring Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow.
Basically it has something for both Sonic and The Battle Cats fans, and then some. Want to learn more? Of course you do! Read on.
An Epic Team Up
So there are five of these collaborative exclusive maps, and three are for a limited time only.
They all fit around the now tried and tested 2D The Battle Cats gameplay, which sees you directing your army of cats to the left of the screen – where you must destroy your opponent’s castle as well as defend your own. Using your range of cats at the right time is key.
These new collaboration maps include iconic Sonic The Hedgehog locations such as Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Sky Sanctuary, and Radical Highway.
You receive bigger and better rewards with each of the 20 stages in the Radical Highway map that you clear too.

New maps and stages aren’t all this team up is offering either. If you visit the in-game Cat Base each day during the event you receive a special login stamp that includes a reward.
And on the fifth consecutive day of doing this you’ll receive the limited-time Special unit Tails Cat.
There’s also a range of Sonic themed cats to enjoy. Opening Rare Capsules allows you the chance to get Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Sonic Cat, and Shadow Cat battling for your team.
These characters can all evolve too – such as Shadow evolving into Shadow & Cat – increasing the options you’ll have to choose from to build your ultimate Cat Army.
There’s the chance to put your skills to the test and go against other players around the world via the Sonic Battle Dojo Map at the Catclaw Dojo options added for the collab too.
