Ponos today has pushed out the long awaited version 3.0 for their game The Battle Cats which includes the newest chapter for the game’s story mode called Into The Future. The new chapter takes players into the far future where you will be going up against the rather bizarre and touch soldiers of the Alien army.
Since this adds a whole new chapter to story mode, that means there are plenty of new stages for players to work their way through. However there are a lot of additional features added to Battle Cats including the CatCombo tactical system, a bunch of new unit abilities, and a lot of new allies to meet up with including a new “uber-powerful set called the Dark Heroes”.
The CatCombo tactical system is pretty interesting in itself. Basically this new system allows players to set up predefined Cat Unit teams in their battle formations. Depending on the combinations you make, you will be able to unlock different combat bonuses that your cat army can take advantage of. The new Dark Hero set of allies, which you will be able to recruit, comes with three new heroes in total: cyborg teenager Akira, caped defender Catman, and engineer wunderkind Mekako Saionji.
According to the developers, the new chapter Into The Future is only the beginning of more chapters and updates that will be coming to The Battle Cats in the near future. For now though you can download the Into The Future update off of Google Play.
