After making its debut on iOS earlier this year, The Run is now out on Android. It’s Paul Raschid’s latest FMV horror-thriller. It’s published by PRM Games and produced by Benacus Entertainment in association with RNF Productions.
The Run is written and directed by Paul Raschid. He’s known for multiple interactive film experiences through titles like The Complex, Five Dates, Ten Dates, The Gallery, and Hello Stranger. The game also continues PRM Games’ line of interactive storytelling projects, following Hello Stranger and The Gallery.
So, what exactly is The Run?
The title places you in the middle of a harrowing chase through the scenic trails of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. It follows Zanna Hendricks, a globally recognised fitness influencer.
Her simple morning run turns into a desperate struggle for survival when she’s ambushed by a group of masked killers. Each choice you make shapes Zanna’s fate in real time. It determines whether she escapes or meets one of twenty brutal deaths.
The Run also offers two gameplay modes. Timed Choices heighten the tension, forcing quick decisions under pressure. The second one is Paused Choices. It’s more suitable for streaming or group play, letting audiences collectively decide Zanna’s fate.
A Story Map visually tracks all narrative branches, showing how each decision alters the course of events. There are five different endings, so you might want to revisit your choices and see what happens in the other options.
The cast is stellar!
Roxanne McKee, known for her roles in Game of Thrones and Strike Back, takes the lead as Zanna. She’s joined by George Blagden from Vikings and Versailles. The cast also includes horror legend Dario Argento, best known for directing Suspiria, and Italian cinema icon Franco Nero, the original Django.
