This Autism Awareness Month, Mattel Drops Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll On Android

Thomas & Friends Let's Roll

Remember Thomas, the Tank Engine, and his friends? The cheeky little blue engine is probably a slice of childhood nostalgia for many of you or your older siblings. Mattel has teamed up with StoryToys to bring the educational mobile game, Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll to mobile devices.

For Kids And Adults Alike

The game is a fresh spin on Thomas and his friends and their adventures on the Island of Sodor. The classic character first chugged into the hearts of kids in 1984 as an animated TV series. What’s really amazing is that the game is autism-friendly, which is super important because it focuses on including every kid in the fun.

Apart from Thomas, you’ll see characters Percy, Nia, Diesel, Kana, Bruno, Whiff and Sandy. And by the way, Bruno, the Brake Car, was actually the first character with autism in the series. Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll also has a treasure trove of locations, including Duck Pond, High Desert, McColl Farm, The Maintenance Yard, Tidmouth Sheds, Vicarstown Lighthouse and Whiff’s Recycling Plant.

To make sure that Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll is not just fun but educational as well, Mattel and StoryToys worked with neurodiversity experts. They dropped it at the right time as well, since April is Autism Awareness Month.

There’s A Creator Mode

Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll has a Creator Mode which lets you design sick tracks and weave through tricky stuff like ponds, boulders and tunnels. Once your creation is ready, kick back and watch your trains rocking unique moves and trails.

You can also chill out with a laid-back ride to Tidmouth Sheds. It’s nighttime in the game, perfect for winding down, and you’ll pass by some cute, snoozing animals. This awesome feature is supposed to act as a lullaby to get the kids ready for bed.

So, if you have a kid or like to play kiddish games, then grab Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll from the Google Play Store. And Bruno is currently being given out for free as a nod to Autism Awareness, so don’t miss out on it!
