Timelie, the award-winning time-bending adventure from Thailand’s Urnique Studios, is now out on Android globally. It’s published by Snapbreak, the studio behind hits like Tiny Robots, TOEM: A Photo Adventure and Snufkin Melody of Moominvalley.
A stealth puzzle adventure, the game first released on PC in May 2020. It earned acclaim for its clever mechanics and emotional storytelling. It launched in early access on Android in March this year.
Time, puzzles, and a cat
Timelie is a puzzle adventure that revolves around controlling time. You guide a young girl and her mysterious cat through an abstract, ever-changing world where danger lurks at every turn.
There’s no traditional dialogue. Instead, the story unfolds through atmospheric visuals, music, and gestures between the characters.
The game’s most distinctive feature is the Timeline ability. It lets players handle time like a media player. You can pause, rewind, and fast-forward to fix mistakes or plan ahead.
By scrubbing through time, you can see future events, adjust your moves, and escape enemies before they even notice you. It’s a mechanic that turns every puzzle into a careful dance between logic and instinct.
You can control both the girl and her cat, each offering different abilities. The cat can sneak through tight spaces or distract guards, while the girl’s powers manipulate time to shape the path forward.
