It’s the weirdest food fight you’ve ever seen or will ever see! Tong: Food Fighter is the latest game from Miracle Tea Studios. It’s a PvP food-fighting brawler that launches today on mobile. It’s also available on the web through CrazyGames.
The game has been developed over a short span of about three months by a two-person team at Miracle Tea. The studio’s other mobile game is Ruya, which launched in 2020. It had surrealist landscapes and a feeling of tranquillity. Tong: Food Fighter, however, is quite the opposite.
Lick, Battle, Win!
Tong: Food Fighter is a chaotic multiplayer battler with the most revolting fast-food joints imaginable. The catch here is that you are not here to eat, but to lick everything in sight!
The entire premise revolves around licking, where you and your opponents each control a flailing tongue. There’s a side-scrolling arena where cursed snacks, mystery meat, and all kinds of grimy fast-food objects become weapons.
Be ready for everything and anything. Canned tuna, scratch cards, or bog rolls flying across the screen. The one who can lick the most stuff before everything is covered in ketchup wins. You can also spray ketchup on your enemies to sabotage them.
You can unlock and equip a bizarre collection of hats to personalise your Tong. There are greasy paper crowns, food-themed monstrosities and more. Even background colours are up for grabs. There are currently four visual themes that also help ease eye strain and improve visibility in different lighting conditions.
The visuals are exaggerated and cartoony, using bold black outlines, high contrast colours, and large readable text. This wild, unhinged design is deliberate, but the devs have made sure to keep it accessible. For instance, they’ve avoided flashing scene transitions to reduce discomfort for photosensitive players.
On that note, catch a glimpse of the game below.
Tong: Food Fighter is a big mess!
Splattered in ketchup, mustard and confusion, the game looks quite fun. It has been integrated with Google Play Games. So, there’s a leaderboard system called Tonglimpics that lets you flaunt your digital fast food hellscape scores.
If you’re interested in giving it a shot, check it out on the Google Play Store. It’s free to play.
