Toshiba’s Tegra 4 Android tablets make an appearance on Amazon and Best Buy

While we all knew that Tegra 4 devices were on the horizon, it seems as though Toshiba wanted to get their Tegra 4 tablets out before anyone else and have quietly had their new line-up of Android tablets make an appearance on both Amazon and Best Buy. Back in June the company did say that they would be releasing their new line-up, strange to see them actually hitting retail outlets on time.

The announcement came during Computex 2013 where Toshiba announced the Toshiba eXcite Pro and the Toshiba eXcite Write Tegra 4 tablets which they had planned for release this month. The hardware for both tablets is pretty much identical but the eXcite Write is geared towards more of a business use with an additional suite of software that comes with the tablet.

Toshiba eXcite Pro and Write hardware specs:

– 1.8 GHz Tegra 4 chipset
– 2 GB of RAM
– 10.1″ PixelPure display running at 2560×1600 resolution
– Bluetooth Keyboard Cover
– DTS and harman/kardon stereospeaker
– 1.2MP front-facing camera with an 8MP rear-facing camera
– Android 4.2

Both tablets also sport 32GB of storage as well with no 16GB option. So you only have these two options to choose from if you’re planning on picking one of these up. As for pricing, both of these are a little up on scale in terms of pricing with the eXcite Pro coming in at $499 while the eXcite Write is commanding $599. Both are now available for purchase on Amazon and Best Buy.
