Kentucky Route Zero, Immortality, and Twelve Minutes Android ports have all arrived in the past couple of days. You can now access all the mystery, horror, and innovative storytelling on your phone or tablet through Google Play.
You won’t need to buy them, but you will need to be a Netflix subscriber to get your hands on the ports.
If you’re a lover of narrative games, especially ones that tell unusual stories with an unbeatable atmosphere, and you’ve got Netflix, then your only problem this week is trying to choose which you try first.
A Road Less Travelled
Kentucky Route Zero is an adventure game that sends you on a truly surreal roadtrip. You play as trucker Conway, who must find a mysterious underground road, Route Zero, to make his delivery.
Reaching the destination involves meeting strange characters, navigating a landscape that defies navigation, and suspending your sense of what’s normal.
Immortality is a game from the creators of Her Story that blurs the line between films and gaming, and doesn’t hold back on the vintage cinema experience.
The game presents you with a mystery. Marissa Marcel was a promising actress. She appeared in three films, and none of them were released.
After the third film, Marissa disappeared. The films hold the answers to the mystery, if you can re-assemble them.
A Sense Of Déjà Vu
In Twelve Minutes, a man is trapped in time. Imagine Groundhog Day, except he is constantly repeating the worst evening of his life. A police detective forces his way into his and his wife’s apartment, accuses them of murder, and kills him.
Is there any way to stop the ever-repeating death spiral? Maybe. You don’t have a lot to work with, but you know what’s coming. There are ways to use your foresight to your own advantage and maybe beat a hopeless situation.
Does trying to figure your way out of the time loop on the Twelve Minutes Android port sound too hard on the brain right now?
Check out our news on the Vampire Survivors Android port for something that’s a little less cerebral.
