Warframe, Digital Extremes’ multiplayer action shooter RPG, launched on iOS in February 2024. After more than a year of its release, the game opened its pre-registration on Android. And now, Warframe is going to have its first closed beta test on Android. Yep, finally!
What do we know about the Warframe Android Closed Beta?
The announcement was made on Day 2 of TennoCon 2025. It’s scheduled to roll out in Fall 2025. Similar to the earlier iOS beta, Digital Extremes will send out invites to the email associated with your Warframe account.
So, open a Warframe account if you haven’t already. You can visit the official website to log into a new account or pre-register for the game.
Once you get access to the closed beta, you’ll get the full Warframe experience. There’s a lot to look forward to. Controller support is confirmed for many devices. Bluetooth gamepads like the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller will work, along with USB-based options like the Razer Kishi or Backbone.
However, there are some limitations, too. Cross-platform play and voice chat won’t be available during the test. Also, unlike the main version of Warframe, the Android closed beta won’t include any monetisation.
Once the testing phase wraps up, all progress will be wiped, so nothing you do in the beta will carry forward into the full mobile launch.

First revealed in 2021 for mobile, Warframe is a third-person shooter. It spans 5 expansions and 30+ story-driven quests. You’ll get to unlock 57+ different Warframes and explore a massive system. It will be free to play.
You can now pre-register through the Google Play Store. Doing so will net you the Cumulus Collection when you eventually log in to the game once it drops on Android.
