Wings of Heroes, the World War II aerial combat game by Ten Square Games, has dropped a new update. It has rolled out a new Player vs Environment mode called Total Defence. It’s only going to make the game feistier and more fun.

More about Total Defence

Now, you won’t just be competing against other players in the intense Dogfights (3v3 and 5v5), Domination, and Annihilation modes. You get to join forces with two AI wingmen to defend critical ground targets against relentless waves of enemy aircraft.

Over ten escalating waves, pilots face everything from nimble fighters to heavy bombers and even formidable boss planes. Yep, that’s what Total Defence brings to Wings of Heroes.

The new mode changes the usual solo or team-versus-team format. You’ll have to make quick decisions on which threats to tackle first and figure out the best way to protect the ground assets.

Alongside the PvE update, the devs have upgraded the game’s core systems as well

One major addition is the Plane Mastery feature. It lets you specialise in individual aircraft and unlock unique milestones. There’s even a striking black-and-gold Master Livery as a reward.

The League system has also got some improvements. Many players wanted a better sense of progression, and now they’ll get to keep their ranks at the end of each season. It will make competitive play more satisfying and rewarding in the long run.

Played Wings of Heroes Yet?

Wings of Heroes lets you choose from a diverse selection of WW2 aircraft, from sleek fighters to rugged bombers. You can zip through the sky in a fast fighter or deliver heavy payloads in a bomber. It also offers a broad range of upgrades for armour and fuselage.

If you haven’t tried it out yet, you can find it on the Google Play Store. And if tactical games aren’t your thing, then read our other news on MONOPOLY GO! x Marvel Fantastic Four Crossover on Mobile.
