Touch Dimensions has announced today that their upcoming Wizards & Wagons title will be landing on mobile devices next month. This particular game is actually a blend of trading sim with a fantasy themed arcade adventure title. It actually looks like it may take a little inspiration from old school games such as Oregon Trail.

In Wizards & Wagons, the evil Demon Lord has been defeated so there is peace across the realms again. As a hero, this doesn’t leave a whole lot of options regarding work. So you decide to get into the merchant world of buying, selling, and trading goods in different towns. You will be picking up products in one town and bringing them to another in the hopes of turning a profit. Since there’s plenty of products and towns available, you have quite the opportunity.
Of course this would be way too easy if that were all that you needed to worry about. While the Demon Lord may have been defeated and peace restored, it doesn’t mean that the trails you will be traveling on are completely safe. There’s highway robbers, monsters, and other hazards you will need to worry about as you try to get to the next town safely. So you will have to keep upgrading your wagon with weapons and magic to ensure your products, and yourself, get to the town you’re trying to get to in one piece.

There’s a few different ways to play this game. You can just go about buying and selling good on your own accord, or take on randomly generated assignments from the Commerce Guild. No two towns are alike either, so you will need to keep track of where the demand for products is high, and where you can buy other products for cheap to resell where they are worth more. All types of things affect prices and demand as well including changing seasons and special events in the in-game calendar year.
