Woo Games has been around for a long time on the Android Market but have only released one game, FRG (and it’s deluxe version). Well after such a long run with a single title on Android, Woo Games has now launched their second title called ErnCon and it is now in open beta testing on the Android Market.
ErnCon looks like it was built with influences from Woo Games’ first title except this time you are in space, in ship, playing with up to eight other people at the same time. It is a hectic and crazy space shooter that is also pretty original in its idea to have multiple players flying around shooting at the same time. Of course though you won’t be working with the other players but going after them instead.
ErnCon Beta Features:

– Easy multiplayer setup – just choose a mission and start playing right away
– No waiting for lobbies to fill up, no waiting for space to open in over-crowded games
– Earn cash and XP to unlock and purchase new fighters, robots, and weapons
– Earn XP to unlock new multiplayer missions

– Add friends and send them boosts to help them in combat. Friends can send back boosts in return!
Multiplayer is over the internet via WiFi or 3G so this isn’t some local multiplayer type of game. You will be able to jump into the game, find a match and get to blasting your opponents. There are a variety of ships and robots you can use along with a nice selection of weapons such as Homing Missiles, Seeking Mines, Rail Guns, Attack Drones and more. When the final version is released, ErnCon will also have single-player features such as survival, leader boards and achievements. It will also have premium items to buy in-game if you want an edge.
People who enjoy shooters, whether it is your standard shoot-em-up or a bullet hell type of game, will most likely really enjoy this one. It brings together multiplayer gaming with shmup gameplat for quite the unique blend. It can get pretty crazy just like a bullet hell shooter as well.
