Yo Kai Watch has got the Pokémon GO treatment with a brand new location-based AR adventure, Yo Kai Watch World. It’s out right now in Japan.
You might think that’s pretty bold, going up against the mighty Pokémon GO, but Yo Kai Watch World has a few tricks up its sleeve. By that, we mean it introduces a few features we’re gagging for in its influencer.
Yo Kai Watch World is a Pokémon GO like adventure
The biggest of these is a proper battling system. It seems like you’ll catch Yo Kai in the world much like you do in Pokémon GO, but you can also earn more Yo Kai by beating them in battle.

It also seems like you can collaborate and possibly trade with nearby players. We’re not sure exactly how this works, but it looks like all avatars appear on your map – though not your exact location. We don’t want creepy people stalking you now, do we?
You can also plant trees to attract new Yo Kai and battle boss monsters, but Pokémon GO has all that already. Still, if that sounds good to you and you live in Japan, go grab it from Google Play right now.
