Yodo1 expands their game publishing worldwide, first title will be BonusXP’s Cavemania

Yodo1 is a third-party publishing company that specializes in publishing Western smartphone games over in China. The company has announced that it will soon begin publishing select games to a global audience as well instead of their usual publishing destinations and their first game will be arriving mid-September and will be Cavemania from BonusXP.

You might be familiar with the company called BonusXP as they already have a game out on Google Play called Monster Crew. Well Cavemania is their newest puzzle-strategy game which is an interesting mix of match-3 puzzle gaming and a strategy game similar to Age of Empires. Essentially you’ll be playing as a Chieftain of a tribe whose members have been scattered around the lands.

Cavemania Features:

Enjoy truly old-school Strategy. Inspired by Age of Empires, you will lead your tribe on a journey through prehistoric perils. Plan your strategy as you gather resources using familiar match-3 gameplay. Place units and buildings on the game board and use them to achieve victory! But choose wisely, because you’ll be fighting to survive against the elements and prehistoric foes.
BONK AND SMASH! Unleash powerful special abilities. Send a Sabertooth flying with the Warrior Bonk. Stun a snarling T-Rex with your Slinger. Use your Hunter to lure a hungry dinosaur into an ambush.
Evolve your tribe. Advance through the campaign to unlock a bevy of new units and buildings, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Increase your power with persistent upgrades to your favorite units. Explore multiple paths to victory depending on the units and buildings that you choose to use.
Every Chieftain enjoys a friendly rivalry. See your friends’ progress. Beat their scores. Challenge them to beat you!

Players will have to reunited lost members of your Chieftains tribe while battling prehistoric enemies. As you progress through the game your tribe will evolve and you will be able to unlock new units to use in combat as well as new technology to use. The combination of match-3 gaming and an Age of Empires type of game is definitely a bit of a unique one.

If you’re interested in checking this game out, you’ll be able to do so sometime in mid-September when Cavemania gets released onto Google Play. It will most likely be a free-to-play title and Yodo1 plans to release more games onto Android shortly after Cavemania‘s launch.
