Spanish game studio Patrones & Escondites is back with another mind-bending mystery. It’s Your House: A Hidden Truth, a narrative puzzle thriller where you unveil the secrets of your own house as a teenager.

The game has launched on Android, PC via Steam and iOS today. It brings a mix of interactive storytelling and escape-room-style puzzles and is free to play. Think of it as a book you can play or a game you can read!

Wrapped Inside a House that Seems to Be Alive with Secrets

Set in the 90s, Your House: A Hidden Truth follows Debbie, an 18-year-old who’s having the worst birthday imaginable. She’s been expelled, her best friend turned against her, and then, she gets hit by a car on the way home.

Just when she thinks the night can’t get any worse, a mysterious envelope appears in her room at midnight. Inside is an old key, a cryptic postcard and an address.

With nothing left to lose, she steals a motorcycle and speeds off toward the unknown. What she finds is a massive, eerie house filled with locked doors, hidden passages and a mysterious story.

The house in Your House: A Hidden Truth is a puzzle in itself. As Debbie explores, she comes across strange objects and uncovers the tangled lives of three people whose pasts are deeply tied to this place.

Take a peek at the game below.

Your House: A Hidden Truth Is the Prequel to Unmemory

If you played Unmemory, you’ll recognize the signature storytelling style. Your House, although a prequel to Unmemory, stands on its own. No prior knowledge of the game is needed.

The game actually takes inspiration from real-life mysteries. For instance, it was inspired by an actual Manhattan apartment designed by architect Eric Clough, which contained hidden compartments and secret messages.

With pop art and comics style visuals, Your House: A Hidden Truth has themes of identity, ambition and the cost of chasing your dreams unfold as the mystery deepens. If you like text-driven games, then check it out on the Google Play Store.
