Last week we talked about a rather cool looking turn-based combat game called Aerena – Clash of Champions by Cliffhanger Productions. This is one of those games we’ve been talking about lately that will be arriving with cross-platform support between mobile and PC gamers, being available through Steam for PC, Mac and Linux users while also being launched on iOS and Android for the mobile gamer to enjoy.
We’ve talked about Dungeons & Dragons: Arena of War a few times in the past and how it would be arriving onto Android in the near future. Well that near future has turned into now as the game is now available for download off of Google Play. Based on the Forgotten Realms world, this is a full 3D RPG title which is actually part of a large event to reshape the Forgotten Realms world.
Developed by Alpha Dog Games and made using the Unreal Engine, Wraithborne originally was released onto Ouya but has now made the jump from the Android-powered game console to Google Play for all Android gamers to download and play.
Back near the beginning of September of this year we talked about Ubisoft who announced that they will be releasing three new games in the near future. The first game based off of the Rabbids franchise was released last week and now we know when the next Rayman themed game will be arriving along with how much it will cost you to buy it.
PopCap released Plants vs Zombies 2 onto iOS awhile ago and since then we Android gamers have been waiting patiently for the game to actually arrive onto Google Play as well. In that period of time there was even rumors regarding the fact that Apple paid EA/PopCap to keep Plants vs Zombies 2 an iOS exclusive for a long period of time such as six months. This started because of a leaked statement during a meeting with PopCap where something was taken out of context (according to PopCap) which lead to people believing this happened. Whether that is true or not remains a mystery but it doesn’t matter now though since the game is now available on Google Play.
At midnight this morning the sequel to Madfinger Games’ Dead Trigger game was released onto the masses of Android gamers who have been waiting for this game to launch for almost a year now. Dead Trigger 2 is now available for those of you who have been waiting patiently since our first hands-on with the game at the beginning of 2013.
Rubicon Developments, the creators of the Great Big War Game and other popular turn-based strategy combat games, are back with what appears to be their biggest title yet called Combat Monsters. Now available on Google Play, this game blends collecting cards and the company’s expertise in turn-based combat games to form a pretty impressive title.
Tomorrow being Thursday we are already gearing up for numerous Android game releases. Today we are supposed to see Dead Trigger 2 from Madfinger Games arrive as well but tomorrow is shaping up to be a great launch Thursday. One game that has now been confirmed to be arriving onto Android tomorrow is Random Heroes.
Retro style games are always fun to dig into, especially if you were around when games like these actually came out and were considered high-tech back in the day. SpookyFish Games have released their first game onto Android called 99 Waves to Die which is like taking one of those old school arcade shooter games from back in the day, dragging it through time and putting it onto your Android device.
Sega has announced their upcoming line-up of games for mobile and out of the five games announced, two of them will be arriving onto Android in the near future. Of course this doesn’t mean that the other three won’t show up, just that these two are the ones arriving sooner rather than later.
