Free The Robots Inc has decided to finally make the jump from iOS to Android, bringing their rather slick looking and fast-paced color matching arcade game ShadowArc over to Google Play. This game is sort of like a cross between Super Hexagon and Dropchord although you are not trying to fit your little shape into an open spot like Super Hexagon.
Back in August of last year we mentioned that an third-person shooter game called Respawnables would be making its way to Android soon. Well after a short stint as a beta release on Google Play as of late, the game is now available for everyone to download and to begin shooting other people in a Team Fortress 2 style of a game.
DotEmu has launched their first title for the Android-powered game console Ouya today and this first title is actually a package deal. Raiden Legacy, which is currently available on Google Play as well, contains four Raiden games: Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet.
So with Shield’s release comes a few new titles to the Google Play store, some are Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 exclusive for right now while others are available for most newer devices, usually running Android 4.0 or higher. Well now that we’ve covered some of the new titles that have arrived, here is a list of games currently available that will play on your Shield.
Back in February we talked about an XBLA game that would soon be making its way to Tegra 3 devices called Space Ark. Well the game has finally arrived as part of Shield’s launch and even though it is a part of the launch, Spark Ark THD is available for Tegra 3 devices as well as Tegra 4.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about a shoot ’em up arcade game called Sine Mora that was confirmed to be heading to Android in the next couple of weeks. Well it seems as though the waiting is over and Sine Mora is now available for Android. However, there is one small catch, and that is Sine Mora is currently only available on Amazon’s App Store.
There is going to be a lot of Shield and Tegra-based game news today with the launching of Shield and the second game we talked about yesterday as more than likely getting released today is Chuck’s Challenge 3D. Well sure enough it has arrived onto Google Play and is available for Shield owners, Tegra 4, Tegra 3 devices and most newer Android devices.
Yesterday we brought you news of two games that were potentially being released today to coincide with the official launch of Nvidia’s Shield handheld gaming device. Sure enough both games have been released and the first one we are going to talk about is Blood Sword: Sword of Ruin THD.
While PC gamers are already enjoying the cyberpunk infused title Shadowrun Returns, tablet gamers are wondering where the hell their copy is. The game was supposed to be released onto tablets at the same time as the PC version but when that date came, only the PC version hit the spotlight. As it turns out, the tablet version has been delayed but not for any particular major reason.
If you follow the gaming news in a general sense then you’ve probably read about Phil Fish quitting making games, cancelling Fez 2 and all that good weird drama-filled stuff that makes the internet both a good and bad place. Well even though it does suck that Mr. Fish will be quitting, regardless of the stance anyone has regarding the issues surrounding it or what you think of the guy himself, it appears that the planned ports of the original game are still going to happen.
