With Ouya going on sale on public retail outlets, and selling it rather quickly, there are plenty of games getting added to the line-up of available titles at launch. In fact there are plenty of them to choose from but a few of the newest additions to the line-up are some that you’ll probably want to check out right off the jump. While we have talked about plenty of games in the past that will be available at launch today, here are three more notable ones.
Today, with no more delays happening, is the day that Ouya has officially gone on sale to the public through retail channels in the U.S., Canada and the UK. The Android-powered gaming console has received additional funding over the past couple of months and a delay that stopped its June launch, pushing it to July, so the company could meet the demand for the unit.
We’ve been covering the progress of Magic 2014: Duels of the Planewalkers since March of this year when it was announced that it would be coming to Android, not just iOS like previous Magic The Gathering games. Magic 2014 is the first official Magic The Gathering game for Android devices and now the wait is over for it to finally be released.
It seems as though Crescent Moon Games is having a busy Monday this week. To add onto their currently full plate of new, the company has published two games onto Google Play today as well. The first game, which we’ve talked about in the past, is Redline Rush. The second game is a rather cool platformer called Gear Jack.
We’ve been following the saga that is Spicy Horse Games in regards to what their next title is going to be. At first it was going to be a rather cool and twisted sounding Wizard of Oz themed games called OZombie. Then news came out that if Spicy Horse Games and EA could work out the licensing issues that the next game would be a new Alice title. If they didn’t work their issues out then Spicy Horse Games would do the OZombie game instead.
Even more interesting news coming out today but this time regarding Microsoft. Reports are indicating that the company is gearing up to release some of their more classic game franchises onto Android and iOS devices in the near future. An example of one of these franchises is an official Age of Empires game for Android and iOS.
Interesting news today coming from Square Enix who happen to be undergoing some internal ‘changes’ as one would call them. Amidst the changes to staffing and whatnot, one of the big changes happens to be the companies focus which will be moving from Triple-A titles for other platforms and they will be instead focusing a lot more on mobile gaming titles.
Crescent Moon Games is getting closer to releasing their upcoming Siegecraft TD game onto Android and as we’ve seen in an early trailer already, the game is looking pretty good. Well to show the game off more, the company has gone ahead an released a 6 minute hands-on video showing off the gameplay ahead of release.
Back on Friday we had mentioned that The Silent Age – Episode One would be heading to Android today and sure enough the minimalistic time traveling point-and-click adventure game is now available on Google Play. For those of you who missed out previous coverage of this game, The Silent Age has a pretty cool concept where what you do in the game affects the outcome.
Back at the beginning of this year we reported on Ubisoft who were planning to bring their popular Nintendo DS title Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes over to Android at some point in the near future. Well it looks like that near future is now the present as the game has now become available on Google Play.
