While some of you are already enjoying your shiny new Android-powered Ouya game consoles, and others happen to still be waiting for theirs to arrive, Mod Junkiez have gotten their hands on their own Ouya unit but it isn’t just for playing on. The company will also be developing new custom styles for the Ouya controllers, just as they do with other consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3.
It’s been a little bit since SNK Playmore released a new game onto Google Play, having brought us four Metal Slug games already as well as Blazing Star. Now it is apparently time for the company to bring us a little samurai head-to-head combat action with their new release called Samurai Shodown II. Yes, it is spelled that way on purpose.
Vector Unit’s upcoming sequel to their awesome water racing game Riptide GP will be making its way to our devices soon when the game finally gets officially released. We’ve covered some early details, screenshots and video of Riptide GP 2 already, even being played on an Nvidia Shield. Well now the folks over at Vector Unit want to show off all the new Hydro Jets you will soon be able to use while racing on water.
Stainless Games have decided to run a promotion similar to the one that they did when the company originally released the classic and bloody game Carmageddon onto Google Play. For those of you unfamiliar with Carmageddon, this particular game is actually quite a classic as it was originally released 16 years ago on June 30th.
We don’t usually post about SmartTV type of products as usually most are pretty similar to each other. However Sceptre has gotten into the SmartTV scene but with their new SB301524W Speaker Sound Bar 2.1. It’s an interesting product that is coming from a company that makes some pretty solid TVs and monitors that a fair amount of PC and console gamers like to use.
If you were concerned that there are not enough Android-powered game consoles getting released over the next couple of months then you’ll be pleased to know that BlueStacks has announced a second Android-powered console called the GamePop Mini. While the original GamePop is still accepting pre-orders, the company has decided to announce this new model.
The other day we talked about a rather large content update that will be making its way to Android soon for Gameloft’s MOBA title Heroes of Order & Chaos. The update has since been pushed out for iOS players already so the Android version should be arriving any day now. In the meantime, Gameloft has released a video going over some of the new features and content that this update brings.
If there seems to be an abundance of Android games on sale right now it is probably because there are a few major events happening soon. While July 1st, 2013 will have folks in Canada celebrating it up, July 4th, 2013 will be a party here in the USA. As with any even remotely important holiday there is always a plethora of sales happening so it shouldn’t be a surprise that there are so many going on already.
While we already have a decent amount of Android-powered game consoles heading out way shortly and more in the near future, it appears that Google may very well be getting into the home console game as well with a new model of the Nexus Q. While this will be similar to the original Nexus Q from last year, this particular new model will have more of a ‘gaming focus’ to it.

The sale, which is called ‘Gamevil Dollar Games’, has titles such as Illusia and Zenonia on sale for a mere $0.99.
