We have reported on Unigine Corps’ upcoming naval strategy game Oil Rush a couple of times in the past. This promising looking game, both visually and gameplay-wise, now has a new trailer for Android gamers to drool over which shows off more of the game’s gameplay and pretty damn impressive visuals.
EA announces that 16 titles will be available for the Galaxy S IV at launch, The Sims gets new content updated
It looks like Electronic Arts isn’t wasting any time supporting Samsung’s newly announced addition to the Samsung Galaxy line of phones. Last night Samsung held their event in New York where they officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S IV, as most of you probably know already, and EA is going to be ready to support the new phone right at launch with a big selection of games.
It is time for another round-up of sales going on right now for Android games and today is an especially good round-up of limited time sales, most likely due to the fact St. Patrick’s Day is this weekend. Whatever the reason is though, there are some pretty awesome games on sale in order to entice you to spend some of those pennies you’ve been saving up.
Gameloft has decided to put up their most recent addition to the Modern Combat franchise on sale for a mere dollar for a limited time. For those of you who are FPS game fans and haven’t picked up Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, now would be a good time to do so since you’ll be saving around $6 with this sale.
I haven’t played the first game in the Towelfight series, but I can only imagine that it has to be something similar to this second one. That means over-the-top humor, a lot of action and a definite indie feel to the whole experience. Of course, I can’t say that this means that the entire experience is quite as original as I’d like it to be, at least in some ways. I like the fact that the artwork in game is almost rough and primitive looking, as though it was drawn or painted by a high-schooler. Don’t get me wrong, I drew my way through high school (much to the disappointment of my teachers) and even though I expect a little more polish when I play an actual, real-deal Android game I like the fact that the game looks rough. So much art in the Play market is pretty but has no soul. Towelfight 2 isn’t pretty, but at least I can tell what the creators were going for.
Disney has announced that they will be delaying the launch of their big cross-platform toy and video game project called Disney Infinity. Back in January Disney announced a rather huge project that they had been working on where it blended physical toys with actual video gaming. The gaming portion of the project is cross-platform including mobile and features a sandbox style of gameplay but it is much more than that. Think Skylanders but on a much more massive and interactive, ever expanding scale.
We spotted back in February that High Voltage Games were gearing up to release their FPS game The Conduit onto Tegra-based Android devices this month. Originally released onto the Wii, The Conduit is getting HD tags tacked onto it and has had the controls reworked in order to be properly played on mobile devices.
At the beginning of March we mentioned that Rovio has teamed up with DreamWorks and the two companies were going to be bringing a spin-off game for the movie The Croods to Android and iOS. Well The Croods have come themselves out of their caves and are now available on Google Play to download. As you can tell, The Croods is based off of the upcoming movie of the same name slated for release in theaters on March 22nd, 2013.
Fans of the Chaos Rings franchise that haven’t yet picked up either Chaos Rings or Chaos Rings Omega might want to consider doing so as Square Enix has put both titles on sale at a steep discount in celebration of Chaos Rings II being released onto Google Play. Both games will be on sale starting today for one week only.
Yesterday we talked about EightyEight Games who were getting ready to release their rather cool retro style Puzzle-RPG game 10000000 onto Google Play today. Sure enough 10000000 has arrived right on time for Android gamers to sink their time into because it can be quite the addictive game.
