The 10-day developer challenge from Kill Screen called OUYA CREATE has come to a close with 22 games in total being selected as finalists in a variety of categories, all of which have rather interesting names. Some of these games are pretty solid and we’ve even talked about a couple of them recently including Whispering Willows, a horror-themed adventure puzzle game that will also be coming to Android.
Yesterday we reported on the news that not only would Real Racing 3 be arriving on February 28th, 2013 but that EA would be doing a simultaneous release of the game on Android and iOS, shocking some of us weaker folk here on the Android side of thing. Then came the news that Real Racing 3 would be a free-to-play game, much to the chagrin of a lot of people.
Well the squirrel today looks at two totally different games but both packed with a lot to do and accomplish. These games will keep you busy for hours. So read on and if you don’t have either of these games you might want to pick either one or both up.
A new endless running game, which we are actually going to call an endless digging game, will be arriving onto Google Play soon. Developed by Gamistry Games, Gold Digger will have players digging endlessly for gold while trying to stay ahead of a rather big man-eating worm who is intent on eating you whole.
Gameloft has released a new update for Littlest Pet Shop which brings with it the ability to add pets to your collection that you have actually purchased in real life. Pets that you have purchased can now be scanned and added to your virtual collection in game. That is just one feature of this new update though.
In a three way partnership Gameloft, Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment, these three companies have teamed up and are working on an official Despicable Me game for iOS and Android devices. This game will feature a cast of characters from the original movie as well as the upcoming Despicable Me 2 movie that is slated for release in theaters this Summer.
As we have seen in the recent past whether it is from all the submissions in OUYA’s CREATE competition or just from news from developers making games, OUYA has a lot of developers interested in the Android-powered console. We now have a really big list of confirmed games heading to OUYA which includes some rather big titles like Square Enix’s Final Fantasy III, Adhesive Games’ Hawken and Double Fine’s The Cave and Reds.
While a lot of people are now waiting on the newly announced Galaxy of Fire – Alliances MMORTS to arrive from Fishlabs, a new MMORTS game will be heading our way this week called Celtic Tribes. Developed by Xyrality, Celtic Tribes has players building up their Celtic themed towns and waging wars against other players, all while possibly wearing fashionable kilts.
If you happen to own a device that is Playstation Certified then you’ve probably already have been enjoying the Amiga classic game Alien Breed since mid-November of last year. The rest of the Android world who doesn’t have access to Playstation Mobile have been left out in the cold, being unable to play this classic top-down shooter game. That is until now.
