While we are not 100% sure if this is a revamped version of the classic 1984 Alpha Squadron game or not but Martian Monkey has done an excellent job either way with their release of Alpha Squadron onto Google Play today. This game has you strapping into your own ship and taking part of aerial dogfights out in space.
Up until now, Contre Jour has been an iOS-only game and a rather popular one at that with Apple even naming it the Game of the Year back in 2011. Back in October of last year we got word that Chillingo would be bringing the game to Android at some point and it looks like that time has finally arrived. Unfortunately we had to wait over a year to get it but better late than never right?
More Final Fantasy news coming from Square Enix today but this time it is in regards to a music-based game called Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. A news comes in the form of a new teaser site that Square Enix has put up where they are teasing a new music-based game which could actually mean a few things: 1) There is a sequel to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on the way or 2) The original Theathrhythm Final Fantasy game is coming to mobile.
Valve has been pretty outspoken about their thoughts on the rise of mobile gaming, especially regarding mobile gaming on tablets, and how it will be a major force in the industry in the near future. It is then no surprise to find out that Valve wants to bring their popular MOBA game DOTA 2 to tablets and, in fact, already have a working version of the game on an iPad.
Electronic Arts has had Dead Space out for awhile now but for those of you who haven’t snapped up a copy of the game just yet, now might be a good time to do so since it is on sale for a mere $0.99. The sale is for both the international version of the game as well as the North American version of Dead Space.
A couple of days ago an update was pushed out for Retrobomb’s revamped version of the classic Dreamcast game Expendable. This revamped version, called Expendable Rearmed, features high-definition graphics, controls optimized for mobile gaming and other goodies. However, controller support wasn’t one of those goodies until now.
Bang Bang Racing was originally released by Atomicom to Tegra 2 devices way back in May 2011. Since then, this top-down racer found its home on Windows, PSN and XBLA. Now, the developers have decided its high-time the game made its general Android debut, and as such it is available to non-Tegra devices on the Play Store as Bang Bang Racing HD.
Rockstar Gameshas posted an update regarding the delayed launch of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for Android. The delay is due to Validation Errors that happened when the game launched yesterday and for those that managed to get it in the short time that it was on Google Play, they were treated to these validation errors with the game’s servers.
The entire game line-up for Gameloft for the entire 2013 seasons has apparently been leaked along with the full names of upcoming games, screenshots for some of them, descriptions for most of the game and even a video or two showing the games in action. We got this news from one of the original sources of the leak but hesitated to post it last night as we watched other sites who mentioned this news turn around and take down the information of the leak.
Square Enix has gone ahead and given everyone a heads up about when the next Final Fantasy installment would be landing on Android and iOS, most likely in order for everyone to start saving up their pennies so they can afford it. Final Fantasy IV will be arriving on iOS this month while all of us Android gamers will be seeing this next Final Fantasy title arriving on Google Play in early Spring of 2013.
