MiniClip is continuing their steady push onto Android with another game release today. This time, however, it is a racing game called Mad Skills Motorcross which I must admit reminds me of playing the rather old school Nintendo game Excite Bike from back in the NES days.
Last week we talked about Game Insight who were planning on releasing their rather popular Facebook game Mystery Manor onto Android. Well now you can go get the game as it went live sometime last night which is fitting that it should be released at night considering the game’s atmosphere.
Back in November of 2011 we reported on the hit browser-based fighting game My Brute and that is was coming to Android before Christmas. Well that didn’t happen and half a year later here we are finally being able to report that My Brute has now landed on the Google Play store.
Stolen Couch Games have just announced that their one button puzzle game called Ichi has finally arrived onto Android. Ichi was released recently onto iOS and seems to be doing alright over there. The neat thing about Ichi is that you really only have to use one button to play the game.
Fishlabs Entertainment, developers of the awesome Galaxy On Fire 2 games, and VWGroup (a.k.a Volkswagen Group) have teamed up to release a new racing game onto Android called Sports Car Challenge. As you may be guessing, all the cars in this game come from the VWGroup’s brands.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but there is an app called AppSales that has been floating around for a few months now that tracks drops in prices of games and apps on Google Play. For avid Android gamers, AppSales obviously comes in handy to get games at a lower than usual price.
Infinite Dreams has pushed out an update for their popular Shoot the Zombirds game on Android. This update brings with it a couple of new gameplay features and, of course, the usual bug fixes and improvements that most updates come with. There is also one other aspect of this update that is important for international players.
One of the games displayed during E3 2012 was a title from Defiant Development called Heroes Call. Stick the ‘THD’ on the end of that name and you now have the games official title. Now that it has appeared on the Tegra Zone Android marketplace, we also now know when it will be coming out.
Robert Broglia of MB.emu and Snes9X fame has released another emulator onto the Google Play store today, this time giving you a little GameBoy Advance love with the GBA.emu emulator. As you might expect from this emulator, this will let you play those classic GameBoy Advance games on your Android device.
There was a trend beginning to grow at this year’s E3. Though previous year’s E3’s have led up to this, it was inevitable, but nobody is could predict what it would be in it’s current form. There were a few key words floating around E3’s press conferences this year. Some important examples were, cross-platform, web-app, asymmetric gameplay and tie-in, but the word that took the conference by storm this year was mobile. It has taken a long time for people to fully realize and utilize the potential of mobile games. At this year, It may have finally happened.
