This invite that is going around seems to be hinting at an unveiling of Minecraft Mobile at this year’s E3. The invite comes from Sony Ericsson with a photo of the Xperia Play on it and mentions some nice relaxing evening that will happen at E3. It also has Minecraft graphics all over it.
Office Jerk is an iOS that has, since it’s release, been downloaded over 5 million times. If you take the game Paper Toss and blend it with larger, generally more solid items and stick an animated co-worker in front of you are your target, you will have the game Office Jerk. Lots of people want to play Tegra 2 games but don’t currently have a Tegra 2 device. This leads to lots of sad faces but there is hope in the form of an app called Chainfire3D. So what is Chainfire3D? It is an OpenGL video driver that lets you do some pretty awesome things in general but the main thing is with graphic manipulation.
Last year a company called DeNA bought another game studio called ngmoco and along with it their Plus+ social gaming network. DeNA already had their Mobage social gaming network as well. This purchase of ngmoco was to help DeNA to expand into the US social gaming market and it looks like that is starting to happen.
Got to give it to our friends down in Australia to come up with an unusual fad called Planking. If you don’t know what that is, Planking is the action of lying face down with arms to the sides of the body, in unusual public spaces and photographing it, like on a police car for example.
About a week and a half ago a great little game deployed onto the Android Market called Hyperlight. Developed by CatfishBlues Games, Hyperlight was developed with high powered Android phones and tablets in mind, preferably dual-core (not mandatory) and the Xperia Play. This is a little gem in the market action game fans will like.
You may have seen this sort of puzzle included in other games such as in some of the levels in Aporkalypes. Quell is a sliding puzzle game that has been pretty well received on iOS and now the developers, Fallen Tree Games, are bringing it over to Android as well. Get your thinking caps on.
