Google has dropped a ton of announcements already at Google I/O 2011 and another big one is that the next version of Android will be called Ice Cream Sandwich. The name we already knew but it was only hinted at it being available for phones and tablets. That hint is now a reality and will feature parts of Honeycomb and Gingerbread.

Google I/O 2011 has just started and already the announcements are all over the place. Everything from movie rentals on the Android Market, Google Music beta and Ice Cream Sandwich being announced just to name a few. One great feature coming in Honeycomb 3.1 though is the ability for USB host support.
You’ve probably heard or read about Gamevil’s newest hit game, Air Penguin, on one of the many gaming sites out there that focus on iOS titles. It is hit game that Gamevil just release and even they are surprised at how much of a hit it has become. However, it won’t just be on iOS anymore.
We have known for awhile that there was a possibility of Zen Pinball coming to Android devices that sport the Tegra 2 chip. We saw it at CES 2011 and again during GDC 2011 where it was also running on their prototype quad-core Android device that was on display. Pinball fans are in for a real treat with Zen Pinball THD.
One of the games that had it’s release date pushed back until May was Pinball HD. Originally set for an April release, a few more tweaks needed to be made before release but the waiting is finally over and Pinball HD is now available for Android devices packing the Tegra 2 chip.

Runescape developer Jagex launches closed beta of cross-platform mobile compatible empire building game.
Jagex, who is most know for developing the MMORPG called Runescape, has come out with another game which has currently launched it’s closed beta. 8Realms is not an MMORPG but more like an MMORTS in the fashion of Civilization-style gaming. The way it has been made also makes 8Realms mobile compatible.
Gameloft has decided to announce another game, via Facebook, with another teaser video. This time it is for the follow up to Let’s Golf and Let’s Golf 2. Can you guess what the name is? Let’s Golf 3! Who knew right? Anyways, not a whole lot of information has been released about this new addition to the series aside from the video.
A lot of people are waiting for the awesome space action game from Fishlabs Entertainment called Galaxy of Fire to be released onto the Android Market and Tegra Zone. Slated originally for an April release, it is now May 5th and I’m sure you are wondering about where the game is. Well the release has been pushed back.
