A nice little surprise regarding news and OpenFeint this morning. We didn’t even know talks were under way for any sort of purchase regarding OpenFeint but apparently there were. Today it is official that GREE, a Japanese company in the Social gaming sector, has purchases OpenFeint for an easy $104 million.
One game we have been eagerly waiting for from War Drum Studios has been their upcoming RTS (Real-time strategy) game called History: Great Battles Medieval. We knew it was coming this month and now the wait is officially over. It is now available on the Android Market so you can get your RTS fix.
When Polarbit releases a game onto the Android Market, you already know a couple of things: 1) it will have 3D graphics and 2) it will be a good high quality game. Polarbit’s newest release, called Toki Tori, fits right into both of those categories. It’s a great looking 3D platformer for your Android device.

If you enjoy games on the PC like Myst then you’re in for a bit of a treat today as Amazon’s App Store is offering up a similar style game for free. The Secret of Grisly Manor by Fire Maple Games is a Myst-style hunt for clues and solve the mystery type of game for Android. Sort of like Scooby Doo but without the 80’s invading it.
So with the coming of the Easter update for Angry Birds Seasons the other day also came news of an ‘alternative reality game’ featuring Angry Birds Seasons as well that will be launched soon. Interestingly enough, Rovio just mentioned via Twitter that there are a lot of secret levels to find in the Easter update.

T-Mobile, thanks to LG, have dropped a double-header of dual-core deliciousness for Android gamers to choose from if you are on T-Mobile (or thinking about switching to them). The G2X and G-Slate have officially launched today.
Another day, another number-based sphere-takeover game. Can this one set itself apart from the rest? There are plenty of these types of games available, most of which aren’t the greatest in the world or original in content by any means, except for a few exceptions. Is this one of those exceptions?
Amazon’s free game of the day is the Moron Test by Distinct Devs. It has been out on the Android Market for some time and has been pretty popular. Featuring a wide variety of tests and puzzles for you to try and figure out, the Moron Test is a great time killer. Don’t worry if you don’t do well, the tests get really hard.
Back in February we got wind of a new game that Polarbit and Pinyl were working on called Chess: Battle of the Elements which takes the original game of Chess, mixes it with the four elements and tosses in a dash of multiplayer for good measure. Since then it has been pretty quite but now the wait is over and it is now available on the Android Market.
