Another 3rd party app store is set to launch very soon called MobileApps.com and while another 3rd party app store is nothing new these days, the cut in profits they are offering developers is. Trying to garner the reputation of the Robin Hood for mobile developers, MobileApps.com will be offering a 95% profit cut for developers to take.
We sat down recently with Faeria Studio and shot emails back and forth and bounced some questions off of them. They were kind enough to supply us at DroidGamers with answers to every single one. They spoke about their project called Runes, which will be a gesture based 3D MMORPG for Android. They also hinted at another project coming soon, also for Android!
So some random gaming site called The SlowDown took the time to site down and talk to Epic’s Vice President, Jay Wilbur, to talk about development of games on the mobile platform among other things. Jay Wilbur mentions that one major hurdle is the hardware fragmentation that Android currently has… really?
A major part of being successful in the mobile gaming industry is actually making some money off your product whether it be through ads, paid downloads or in-game purchases, revenue is important. You can have the greatest game in the world but if you can’t pay your bill, you can’t support your product.
Gameloft officially announced that Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus would be released ‘soon’ and since then reports have ranged from Jan 18th – early February. However the only other specific date mentioned is Jan. 28th, 2011 which is right around the corner. In fact multiple sites are reporting that it will be Jan. 28th, 2011.

nVidia is keeping the ball rolling with their high-end chips for mobile devices with two new chips that will be in Android devices this year. The duo of chips are the Tegra 2 3D chip and the Tegra 3 and both sport some great specs that will make any Android gamer be eager to get a device with one of these in it.
