I mentioned in the new posts to expect a review to come quickly about this 3rd installment in the Mystique series of games that just got released by Bendroid. Well as promised, here is our first impressions of Obitus.
Usually I try to stay away from posting too much news other sites have already touched upon however sometimes this isn’t possible. This is one of those times. Awhile back Android and Me had started up something called Android Bounty where there would be an app suggestion made and the developer who fulfilled the requirements would get a cash reward. The last one was for a working Quake port but no one had really stepped up to do it especially after ID Software got all the ports of their games removed from the market.
Well the big wait is over and Mystique Chapter 3: Obitus has hit the Android market! If you haven’t played Chapter 1 or Chapter 2 then you are missing out and Chapter 3 promises to be ever better with some new features that I’ve never really even heard of in a game for Android. Even though our site hasn’t officially launched yet, I have to report on this release.
Our first review is of a pretty interesting and fun game called The Great Land Grab or TGLG for short developed by TGLG Corp.
The Game In A Nutshell: The idea of the game is to claim the land (via GPS) that you are located in. As you travel you can claim more lands or try to grab the land owned by someone else.
To kick off our interviews properly we went to John Coogan, President of Bendroid. Check out the great interview!
Amidst the slew of mediocre to just straight out poor game developers out there pushing their games onto the Android market, there are a few solid developers submitting some great games. This is our list of game developers who continuously submit top quality games (in no particular order).
{jcomments off}Well we are finally live after a whole lot of work. There is still more work to be done which I’ll be doing over the next week… Continue reading
There’s a new 3D tunnel game on the Android market called SpeedX 3D by developer Hyperbees. While there aren’t a whole lot of tunnel 3D games out yet, the ratings and reviews for this new addition to the Android market seem pretty promising, sitting at a 4.3/5 star rating (as found on Cyrket’s website)
The popular turn based FF Tactics style game UniWar by JavaGround Inc. comes from iphone and lands in the Android market for everyone to enjoy. Boasting 53,000+ registered users, you should never have a problem finding a game to play. Yes, that means it’s multiplayer and cross platform thanks to centralized servers.
