Here is another addictive little time killer called Bistro Cook, developed by Quasar Studios. While not an overly complicated game to play, it’s actually fairly addictive once you start getting into it. In this game your goal is to cook and fill orders as fast as you can but also making sure you don’t burn them in the process which is easier said then done.

Pitman for Android

Pitman, released by Alawar Entertainment, is a gem miner style game where you control a mining/harvester machine to dig around every stage and collect as much of the gems and gold you find without dieing. While the concept is nothing new for the most part, the execution is fairly well done with original graphics and sounds throughout the game.

It seems as though noted emulator guru ZodTTD has teamed up with Yonghz (Android emulator guru) and are currently working on a Playstation emulator for Android phones. Yes, a playstation emulator. This means all those games you loved to play when the Playstation was the best there was out you can now play on your Android phone. FFVII anyone?

Typing Zombie

Usually I don’t go for the typing word games unless they look extremely good. Typing Zombies, developed by GoodTEAM Lab, actually caught my attention because of the name. Anything with zombies in the name always attracts my attention. With this game, you are presented with zombies who want to eat your brains and to destroy them you have to type the word above their heads.

Slot Maniac may not be the best example of a virtual world when you look at others such as SecondLife, nor as graphically beautiful, but the premise is still the same. Like your slot machines? Well now with Slot Maniac, developed by Fun Durian Entertainment, you can be a professional slit machine player. The games are limited to just slot machines though!

Barcode Beasties Returns!

Barcode Beasties has been around for almost as long as the Android market has been. Developed by Richard Green, Barcode Beasties offers up a Pokemon battle style game where you find monsters of various levels with different abilities by scanning QR Codes on whatever products you have around and pitting them against one another.

ODROID-T Gaming Tablet

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later with the onslaught of tablets coming to light with Android on them. Hard Kernel, who developed the ODROID, has now developed the ODROID-T. This is a tablet designed with high definition video and gaming in mind. The original ODROID was a PSP looking device running Android 1.6 (upgraded to 2.1) and seemingly sold out quickly.

Adobe Air Pre-release

Myself, along with probably every other developer and Android site, got an email today inviting us to join in on the Adobe Air pre-release. I’ve taken a bit of time to look through everything and I have to say it is pretty impressive, of course speaking in a strictly gaming aspect. When signed in to the pre-release program you have access to the beta Air 2.5 SDK with Android support.

Dragon Fire For Android

From the developers of some great games such as Shoppers Paradise and Archipelago comes Dragon Fire. Second Gear Games has ported over their iPhone game Dragon Fire to Android. This game is a mix of traffic control style game and puzzle where in you have to direct the path of colored balls of fire with various switches to complete the puzzle/stage.
