Unity3D for Android Pre-Sales

Unity3D is a great 3D engine made for game developer to use in the creation of their 3D games. This engine covers everything from browser based MMORPGs to PC games, iPhone/iPad to console games and not so long ago announced it would be supporting Android game development with an Android version of their engine. It was just announced that pre-sales will be starting shortly.

Vendetta Online for Android

In what could be the first true port of an online MMORPG, Vendetta Online is on it’s way to Android with a 100% port. Guild Software just announced that is plans to completely port their online space MMORPG to Android and plan to demo it at E3 this year. Vendetta offers RPG mixed with ‘Twitch’ gaming and PvP in a sci-fi atmosphere.

Tank Recon 3D

Tank Recon 3D, developed by Lone Dwarf Games Inc, is a full 3D (OpenGL ES) first person shooter tank game where you pilot your tank and using your cannon or guided missiles, blowing up enemy tanks and airplanes. This game features some great high detailed 3D graphics, dogfight style gameplay and all the exploding goodness you can handle.

Killer-Duck Hunter

Remember Duck Hunt from the old NES days? All that good duck killing fun you used to have? Well thanks to developer Serious Rabbit Software Studios LLC you can now have a similar experience on your Android phone with their game called Killer-Duck Hunter. While this game doesn’t have a dog go fetch your dead ducks, there is still plenty of duck killing to be had.

Meteor Deluxe

Meteor Deluxe (a.k.a Meteor Breakout) is a Arkanoid/Block Breaker game, developed by Mobile Stream and published through Chillingo, that is designed for all the WVGA screens out there. While there is also a version for all other screen types available on the Android market, I decided to try out the WVGA (Deluxe) version and see how it stands up to other Arkanoid games.

AndTournament is a handy little utility application for gamers to hold tournaments and keep track of ladders. Developed by Nicolas ‘plusminus’ Gramlich over at Anddev.org, this is a database driven utility that runs off your Android phone which is perfect for things like LAN-parties so you can do everything on your phone letting you concentrate on important stuff, like gaming!

I thought hard for a moment as to whether or not I was going to post about this new application. While it does pertain to gaming and Android, it isn’t exactly gaming ON Android which is usually what we try to stick to. Blizzard just released their Remote Auction House application for Android devices which allows you to view, bid and more on auctions houses your characters access.

Atomic Puzzle Game

One of our followers on Twitter commented on how we need an educational time waster. Well there is a new game out on the market called Atomic, developed by Bad Pixel, in which you have to reconstruct molecules that have their parts scattered around the playing field. While learning the parts of molecules and how they are built, you also have some tricky puzzles to solve.

Falling Ball

In the pursuit of finding more games with the ability to just pick up and play more as a quick time kill than anything else I stumbled onto Falling Ball, developed by Reverie Game. Falling Ball is a game where you control a stickman via the accelerometer and dodge bouncing balls. As the game progresses, more balls come into play with different bouncing patterns.
