We aren’t even 24 hours past the media event that Amazon held where they announced a range of devices from a new eReader to a line of Kindle Fire HD tablets. Now we have two more companies adding support for the new Kindle Fire tablets. Both Activision and Crytek have announced games for all of the new Kindle Fire devices, Skylander Cloud Patrol and Fibble Flick n’ Roll.
Ubisoft isn’t done with September this year with just releasing one Prince of Persia game which we just talked about. No, there are actually releasing two this month with at least two more slated for release later this year. The next game coming out this month is Rayman Jungle Run featuring the Rayman himself.
Yesterday we brought you news that Marvel’s upcoming game called Avengers Initiative would be arriving on both select Android devices and iOS today. Unfortunately, we have some bad news in that the game’s release has been delayed for Android devices.
One of the good folks over at Ubisoft decided to swing by the forums and drop us a note about their next game coming to Android which will be part of the Prince of Persia franchise. Appropriately named Prince of Persia Classic, this looks to be a bit of a throwback to the core of the series where you are out to save the princess.
We were hearing rumblings yesterday on Twitter that the update we talked about a few weeks ago for Minecraft: Pocket Edition would be arriving today and sure enough the 0.4.0 update has arrived. For those of you who missed our last article with the full changelog, this update brings a lot more to the game including the infamous Creeper.
Square Enix has announced their game line-up that will be on display during the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2012 and two of the games are Android titles, one of which we new about while the other one is a new game we were unaware of. Unfortunately it looks like both games will be released onto Android but location restricted to Japan only, at least for right now when they are initially released.
Glu Mobile seems to really be making a strong push on Android these days with quite a few game releases already in the past couple of months and now we have two more that are being teased. One game is geared towards those who like eye candy and aerial dogfighting while the other is more of a casual adventure game.
You may not know this about me, but I am a huge fan of dual-stick shooters. Age of Zombies, Monster Shooter, Weapon Chicken. I have literally played them all and probably spent way too much time with them, but there’s just something about the addictive gameplay in dual-stick shooters that I can’t put down. And the fact that I can play some of the greatest dual-stick shooters (In recent years) on my phone/tablet is amazing in itself. Dual stick controls shouldn’t be a problem on touchscreens, because of the simplistic control-scheme. But that isn’t always the case, so let’s look at what’s up for review today: Call of Mini Zombies!
From the publishers of Harebrained Schemes’ Strikefleet Omega Android game, 6Waves will be soon releasing a new mech battle game on Android called Offworld. Currently being released onto iOS today, Offworld will have players collecting, training and upgrading a variety of mechs before battling it out with other mechs for glory and riches.
One game a lot of people are waiting for happens to be Gameloft’s first Unreal Engine built game called Wild Blood. We have already seen a bit of the gameplay thanks to a previous trailer that they released. However today we get to see a bit more of the game along with learning a bit of the storyline behind Wild Blood.
