We’ve been following the development of PocketMine since it was created, even using it in our own Minecraft: Pocket Edition server. It has come a long way since its inception, now having a plug-in library, mod tools and all sorts of other goodies. There was regular communication between Mojang developers and Shoghi Cervantes, the developer behind PocketMine, on Twitter quite often. So it should be as no surprise that Mojang has finally brought Shogi on board.

Companion Applications are an interesting concept in a lot of ways because you’re basically trying to take advantage of the mobile gaming industry, and the gaming industry in general, by extending the functionality of your game to include mobile devices. This could be for a lot of reasons and done in many ways, whether it is actually useful features, a second screen feature, news and update, and whatever else a developer can think up in order to make their games look like there is a lot more features to it then there actually is.
Rooftop Frenzy is a new martial arts action game that follows the story of a Kung Fu master who, when he was younger, had some pretty epic hair. If fact his hair was almost legendary. However, as he grew older, his hair fell out but he still had the wonderful memories of his epic hair from back in the day thanks to the fact he kept his treasured golden comb.
The Taekwondo Game landed on Android back in December 2014 and while the game was free to download to try out, you did need to pay for it if you wanted to certain aspects of the game. Today te Taekwondo Game has received an update that makes the entire game free to play right through without the need to spend a penny on it if you don’t want to.
Gameloft’s newest installment into the Dungeon Hunter franchise is getting closer to release and like always the company has begun releasing more and more videos relating to the game. Today we have a new gameplay trailer for Dungeon Hunter 5 that is showing off some more of the elements in game as well as some of the skills that you will be using.
While there may be plenty of side-scrolling platformers on mobile these days, there are not a whole lot that would fit into the category of ones that you will want to play over and over. However there is one that is heading our way soon that, from what we have seen so far, looks like it would fit into that category quite nicely.
The original Resident Evil was released in 1996, and has forever changed the landscape of horror video games. Now it’s 2015 and the Resident Evil franchise is still alive and well, unlike the many zombies featured throughout the series. With the pending release of Resident Evil Revelations 2, now is a good time to catch up on the series.
Nvidia’s GRID service will hit 40 titles the same day as their GDC 2015 press event happens. Saints Row IV, Alan Wake, and Metro Last Light Redux coming to GRID this month.
More evidence is coming to light that whatever Nvidia is planning to announce at GDC 2015 has something to do with their gaming on demand service GRID. Today Nvidia has announced that there will be a total of 40 titles available on GRID soon. In fact the next three titles which will push the GRID catalog to 40 are some rather big games.
[Update: Released] World Zombination is an upcoming MMO Tower Defense game pitting Survivors against Zombies
World Zombination is currently in development by Proletariat Inc. and is a very strange hybrid game in that it is labeled as an ‘MMO Tower Defense’ game. This may seem strange at first but the concept is actually kind of interesting. Players will have a choice to make, either finish destroying the world with hordes of zombies, or try helping the last remaining survivors defend against the undead hordes now roaming around.
Joycity, the makers of Gunship Battle, have announced that they’ve added a significant update to their game. In this update, they’ve added options beyond the gyro/tilt controls that it has, now totaling four different types, including a virtual D-Pad and two other unspecified types.
