The massively long wait for the 0.9.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition is now finally over. Mojang has just pushed the snapshot update onto Google Play and people should start seeing it become available in the a few minutes. When a game developer chooses to go by the name of Ninja Theory, one should expect some pretty good games filled with action. Based in Cambridge, UK, Ninja Theory has fulfilled our gaming expectations in the past. They are well known amongst Xbox and PlayStation owners for games such as Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Devil May Cry. Their first venture into mobile gaming in collaboration with Chillingo has arrived in the Play Store entitled Fightback.
While there are a few games on sale for this Fourth of July celebration, you can’t find a better price than free! Seemingly out of nowhere, MobileBits has released their second Action/RPG game in Soulcraft 2: League of Angels. The first SoulCraft game was a successful entry for MobileBits and the graphics and game play were fun. As a matter of fact, the original game really impressed us with what was possible on mobile devices.
In Heroes & Castles, Foursaken Media has created a genre blending game that is part Action-RPG, Strategy and Castle Defense. Either of those types of games individually can bring plenty of fun gaming, but put them together and you have a formula for success. Heroes and Castles has plenty to offer if you are willing to dive in for the long haul. In the name of your King who is near death, you must defend the castle gates.
Transformers Age of Extinction (the movie) hits theaters this Friday. So of course any big-budget movie based off of a toy is going to have a mobile game to go along with it. Sharing the same name, the game is actually a 3D runner. However to split itself a part from those usual games, and to capture the Transformers feel, there is combat. Fighting is done as one of the two Transformer forms, vehicle or robot. You can upgrade your Transformers to make your team even more powerful.
[Updated] Cartoon Network will be releasing a Zelda-style game called Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake
The Cartoon Network looks to continue the Monsters Ate My (insert whatever here) series on Android with the release of a new game soon called Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake. There is already two Monsters Ate My games on Android so this would make the Birthday Cake eating the third game. This will be a lot different than the previous two games though.
In an interesting partnership between MMO giant Nexon and Capcom, both companies are working to bring Street Fighter IV Arena to Android. This will be the first exclusively mobile Street Fighter title in the franchise. In fact the game has come along quite nicely as it is already in beta testing phase over in Korea.

The strange and psychedelic world of Fearless Fantasy is due to grace the Android Platform later this summer. Having been successfully released on the PC, developer Enter Skies is focusing their effort on a mobile port of their oddity of an adventure. The producer of the hit animated film, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within referred to Fearless Fantasy as “The most original RPG of the year.”
There’s a chance that the critically acclaimed iOS hit, Battleheart Legacy might be ported to Android. The game feature isometric hack & slash game play, with highly customizable characters, equipment and classes. An additionally exciting feature, not often seen in the realm of mobile RPGs, is a sweeping story, open world and branching dialogue choices and plot elements.
Originally released onto iOS back in May of this year, Warhammer 40K: Carnage is now available on Google Play for all of us Android gamers to get a hold of. For those of you not familiar with this game, Warhammer 40K: Carnage is a side-scrolling Action-RPG title where you’ll take on the roll of a Space Marine who has the fortunate job of mowing down all the nasty little Orks in your way.
