Gamevil has been pretty consistent pushing updates out to their Darkness Reborn game and the newest one, version 1.1.1 update, brings a few new systems to the game as well as a whole new dungeon to explore. There is also a whole new mode added to campaigns as well for added challenge.

Team 17 has released Flockers onto Android and with that brings all of us the story of the sheep from the Worms franchise. The sheep, who up until now have been used as a weapon by the Worms in their war, are tired of being used in such a manner and are trying to make a break for it.
Mojang will be hosting a public Q&A session on their TwitchTV channel later this week regarding Minecraft: Pocket Edition which means that this will be an excellent opportunity to ask the questions you may have regarding the game, or what is coming in the future, directly to the developers themselves.
Exiles: Far Colony is the latest game from Crescent Moon games, also made games that you might have played like Neon Shadow, Mines of Mars, and the Ravensword. Like Ravensword before it, Exiles is an open world Action/RPG, only its the SciFi counterpart to Ravensword’s fantasy theme. While the undertaking is ambitious and full of potential, the game falls short of what appears to be Crescent Moon’s intent.
One thing CES is usually good for is getting a sneak peek or two and unreleased games that will soon be coming to Android. At Qualcomm’s booth they had plenty of games being shown on their development tablets to showcase their new Snapdragon 810 and Adreno 430 chipset team. However all of them were games already released except for one that happened to show its demo reel right before we left. The game we are talking about is Gates of Osiris by Fenix Fire.
One of the more interesting announcements so far, at least in the realm of Android-based gaming, has to be Snail Games’ set of gaming-centric Android phones and their Android-based game console. Snail Games had plenty of both phones, The W and The W 3D, available for some hands-on time as well as the OBox console. We will get into the phones in another article though.
If there is one thing you can count on for with Gameloft, it is the fact that they will always be one of the first developers to optimize their games for any new upcoming gaming hardware or platforms based off of Android that look promising. Whether it was the Ouya console or the GameStick, they usually have a few games announced as ready to go for that particular platform’s release.
[Update: Gameplay Video] Game in Development: Unreal Engine 4 built Submerged by Uppercut Games
Following the success of their previous projects Epoch and Epoch 2, Uppercut Games recently unveiled their next game in development entitled Submerged. In the Epoch series, the environment was a post-apocalyptic world where only robots survived to fight a war that never ends. In Submerged, the environment is literally overflowing with action, adventure and a compelling narrative. From the brief synopsis of the game, it appears the storyline will have as much heart as it does action and lush visuals.
We missed last week’s installment of Fun Fridays due to the holidays but we won’t be missing it this week. If you are not familiar with this new series we recently started, this is basically a bit of a showcase of some of the more humorous, entertaining, or just plain cool things we’ve seen during the week that has happened in the video game industry. This isn’t just isolated to mobile gaming though.
A new aerial combat game Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders from Atypical Games has flown its way onto Google Play. Is this part of the Sky Gamblers franchise that has been published by Bandai Namco up until now? It appears to be and this is actually Atypical Games’ second title in this franchise to be released, the first being Sky Gamblers: Cold War (iOS only right now).
