While a lot of the major labels in the gaming industry have already solidified their place, at least to some extent, in the mobile gaming scene, Activision Blizzard are pretty late to the game in terms of releases. However, with the formation of their new division, Activision Mobile, they are now ready to focus more on mobile gaming and, interestingly enough, when it comes to Android it will be with the Kindle Fire HD tablets.

We aren’t even 24 hours past the media event that Amazon held where they announced a range of devices from a new eReader to a line of Kindle Fire HD tablets. Now we have two more companies adding support for the new Kindle Fire tablets. Both Activision and Crytek have announced games for all of the new Kindle Fire devices, Skylander Cloud Patrol and Fibble Flick n’ Roll.
About a month ago Glu Mobile, in conjunction with Activision, released Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies onto Android but it was strictly for Sony devices like the Xperia Play or S Tablet. It was stated then that the Sony exclusivity would last roughly a month before COD: Black Ops Zombies would be made available for the rest of the Android world.
If you are into keeping it real retro when it comes to gaming, mobile or otherwise, then you will be pleased to know that Activision has released a huge collection of classic games in their Activision Anthology release. This anthology offers up the entire 2600 catalog by Activison for you to peruse through and buy what you want.
A couple of weeks ago we reported on the possibility that Activision was gearing up to release Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies onto Android soon, thanks to a training manual posted by Activision on the official Call of Duty website. We guessed that since the manual was published, it wouldn’t be long before the game would follow and today it has landed on the Google Play store.
Call of Duty and it’s plethora of versions, whether it is the vanilla CoD or Black Ops, has been one of the main brands in FPS gaming for awhile now. Well the fine folks over at Xperia Gamers have stumbled onto what appears to be confirmation that Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies will be landing on Android and, in fact, it could be in a matter of days.
The current Skylanders titles have been a pretty big hit on the platforms they have been released on so far. Unfortunately Android hasn’t been one of those platforms but that is about to change as Activision has confirmed it will be coming to ‘mobile devices’.
Rigonauts, an award-winner from Activision’s Indie Games Competition, coming to Android in May 2012
An award-winning game from Activision’s first Independent Games Competition called Rigonauts has just been officially confirmed for release on multiple platforms such as iOS, PC via Steam and, of course since we are writing about it, Android. So what is Rigonauts?
The Call of Duty Elite application for Android has been out for a short while now but it has never been optimized for tablets. That is about to change soon as Activision is developing a tablet version of the Elite app which is great news for anyone who has wanted a better version of the app on their Android tablet.
Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 we have been talking about the new Elite service being offered by Activision which brings a bunch of features to the game both statistically and socially. We also mentioned that there would be a companion app for Android which, even though ended up being delayed, would be released soon.
