One device a lot of people are actually looking forward to but have had to wait a long time for already is the gaming-centric Android tablet called the Wikipad. Having undergone a few redesigns in hardware department, that has been the biggest cause for the delay. It finally looks like the Wikipad may actually be launching soon though as the device has passed through the FCC.

Amazon is getting ready to spread their wings a little bit more than normal and have announced that they will be offering up their 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD through AT&T later this week. The 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD will actually be at a somewhat reasonable price as well. Of course that is with you signing a 2-year contract of course.
One of the two gaming centric Android tablets has officially gone on sale now for $179. The Archos Gamepad is an Android tablet with a focus on gaming with physical gaming controls available on either side of the 7″ tablet which runs Android 4.1, otherwise known as Jelly Bean.
It seems as though Wikipad and the folks at the company re a bit confused as to what they would like to do in regards to the gaming Android tablet they have been developing for what seems like forever and a day. Originally the Wikipad was not planned to be a 10″ Android gaming tablet until the company announced that it would instead be a 10″ gaming tablet. Now, Wikipad has announced that its Android gaming tablet will be a 7″ one that will retail for $250.

Plenty of Tegra 4 news will be happening this week as you probably have already guessed from this morning alone, but it seems that Vizio will be the first company to have a Tegra 4 Android tablet, or at least announce one. They even have an early version of the tablet here at CES for all of us to fondle relentlessly.
The trees were lit and houses decorated in lights, presents opened and Android devices given to children and adults alike. Christmas is over for everyone and boxing is today if you’re in Canada so good luck to everyone dealing with the crowds in the stores up there. The Wikipad Android gaming tablet that was supposed to be released this week has been delayed until further notice. For those of you who had been planning to go to your local GameStop and pick one of them up, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. The new came through a press release which details why the delay is happening.
