For those of you out there who are fans of HTC and were hoping that there would be future tablets coming to the market here in the U.S. for you to buy, HTC has announced some bad news for you. According to the online communications manager for HTC, Jeff Gordon, the company will be pulling out of the tablet market in the U.S. which means no more HTC tablets here.

Interesting news today coming from Texas Instruments as they have announced that they will be officially backing out of the mobile devices industry to focus on a more broader range of products such as automobiles and other technology that uses embedded chip systems. This is due to the fact that right now, for Texas Instruments, the mobile industry isn’t as stable and profitable as they had hoped it would be.
Finally some solid news about the Wikipad and its release date, at least for when it goes on say at Gamestop. The Wikipad, as you may or may not know, is a gaming focus Android tablet with detachable gaming controls you can add to the side of the tablet. It provides a full set of gaming controls so you can play games using actual physical controls.
The recently leaked Xperia Tablet that will be coming from Sony has been officially announced during Sony’s press event as IFA 2012 starts up today. Archos is a company that is most recently known for producing an affordable line of Android 4.0 tablets. It will continue this trend with the introduction of new line of tablets that will carry a branding Archos is calling “Elements.” The first tablet from the Elements line is called the Archos 97 carbon.
GameStop has been selling a bit of a selection of Android tablets for a little while now and it appears that they are planning to add one more tablet to that list. The Nexus 7 tablet (16GB model) will be added to their catalog of Android tablets available for purchase and GameStop has already begun taking pre-orders.
