Gameloft has decided to show some more love to Android phones after their successful release of Asphalt 5 with the release of nine more 3D games. All of these games looks pretty impressive graphically and cover a wide range of genres from FPS games to RPGs. Here is a quick rundown of each game as well as ways to purchase them.
It seems Google is still pushing forward to show their commitment to games and gaming on Android. First it was hiring a Game Developer Advocate for Android, then the purchase of LabPixies and now it is a job posting for a Product Management Leader For Games. This job is for a Google position and not completely dedicated to Android, although I’m sure it’ll be a large part of the job.
Tux Rider – Android Edition, developed by Drodin, is a port of the popular linux game Tux Rider 3D. All you Tux the Penguin fans can now race down ski slopes, collecting fish, getting air and earning points while on your belly like a true penguin does. This game features great 3D graphics, fast paced action and like all things linux, is open source!
Flying Aces, developed by Sticky Coding, is an air traffic control style game where you control the flight paths of airplanes to ensure all of them land safely at the airport. This is a touch based game where you draw lines for the airplanes to follow and has been one of the more popular games of this genre for awhile and now…it’s gone open source!
Well it is starting to get to the point where a week won’t go by without some more news regarding peripherals and Android gaming. Just reported right now by Engadget, developer Ryan Frawley, has managed to get the Wiimote to work with your Android phone via a bluetooth connection. The software is available free for this demo/beta phase.

FightingFish Games, developers of the platform game Grave Digger, have released a new game called Elemental Galaxy. This is a match 3 of a kind type of game but with some very interesting twists. You match three elements that are the same by tapping on them at which point lines connect them and anything in the shape of those lines is destroyed as well.
So as you may have noticed, I took the weekend off thinking this would be an ideal time to slip a couple days off and spend time with my family hoping it would be a slow news weekend. Drill Panic, Developed by Orange Pixel, is a fast paced game sort of like Abduction! but instead of bouncing your way up platforms, here you have to roll downwards and stay ahead of the drill while collecting gems and other items to help you along. You move by tilting your phone left or right in order to roll into gaps in the ground to get to the next level below you.
