Star Wars The Force Awakens is less than a year away. However when it comes to Android games, Star Wars has been in full force, pardon the pun. 2014 saw multiple game releases along with some game removals. On the cusp of a new generation of Star Wars, we should take a look at what we have been given this year, so we can reflect, and better ourselves as Star Wars enthusiasts.

A new aerial combat game Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders from Atypical Games has flown its way onto Google Play. Is this part of the Sky Gamblers franchise that has been published by Bandai Namco up until now? It appears to be and this is actually Atypical Games’ second title in this franchise to be released, the first being Sky Gamblers: Cold War (iOS only right now).
So, it’s a new week, and we have a fresh Humble Mobile Bundle, this time featuring games from Noodlecake Studios. As someone who is usually a fan of the games they generally publish I was a bit excited about this one. Did that excitement hold up? Is this another home run sure-thing bundle like the last one from Crescent Moon Games?
One thing we can definitely say is that the Samsung Gear VR headset is certainly getting a decent amount of support from game developers. There is already a decent selection of games available and more are being added all the time. Today Climax Studio has announced that they will be releasing their first Samsung Gear VR game soon called Bandit Six.
Temple Run has evolved once again. This time instead of being an endless runner for your Android phone or tablet, or an endless runner themed after a Disney movie, this new evolution of Temple Run brings the game into the world of virtual reality.
SNK Playmore has released another one of their classic games onto Android and this time it is Beast Busters. Originally released in 1989, this is an on-rails shooter style of game which originally had players controlling one of three military servicemen as you go around killing monsters. In this version though you will also have the option of controlling your favorite King of Fighters characters.

Set in a future where sentient AIs have muscled out human controllers from competition in the world’s most popular sport, robotic arena combat, Ultimate Robot Fighting gives players the power to end their dominance.
One of Gameloft’s bigger franchises will be getting a third installment soon and true to Gameloft’s usual style of promoting updating game, we have a new teaser trailer to check out. Brothers In Arms 3 will be different than the last two games in a few specific ways, but the main change will be that it won’t be on-rails anymore. Instead players can roam around each area freely.
Hello There is a developer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. They focus on developing games for entertainment, but also produce animated commercials, games for training, marketing and providing creative consultation. Luckily for Android users, they have also produced some pretty good games in the Play Store, such as Save a Rhino, Avicii/Gravity, Find a Way Soccer and Khaba. Their latest release, will have you kicking, punching and blocking people, even if they play their games on an iOS device. The Taekwondo Game: Global Tournament, has been soft launched in Sweden and Canada, but the game is coming to Android soon.
