Gameloft seems to be making more news every day. While a lot of Android gamers won’t touch Gameloft game due to the lack of availability in the Android Market, it is still exciting to see more great titles becoming available. To update yesterdays post regarding Brothers in Arms 2 HD, it is now available for purchase through the Gameloft Store.

It’s good to see some more quality platform games hitting the Android Market. A new one released a couple of days ago by Carbon Crystal Games called Droid Odyssey looks like another very promising one to add to the list. Currently in beta form, this game offers up classic platform-style gaming but with a twist!
A few days back we brought to light a game called SheepRun that had some strikingly similar user interface designs to that of Angry Birds by Rovio. Since then we have had many people mention that the level design was almost a complete copy of another Flash game called Home Sheep Home. SheepRun Beta is now not available on the Android Market.
Apparently we were under a rock or perhaps sleeping when this was announced a few days ago. Pocket Legends is now taking sign-ups for the closed beta of the Android version of the game. Interestingly enough though, you have to be a current player to get into the closed beta which means you need an iOS device and an Android device.
Remember Cestos from Chickenbrick Studios? It was one of the more popular games back in the earlier days of Android with the ability to have multiplayer games. Well ChickenBrick hasn’t been sleeping all this time, and Cestos 2 is now in beta. Luckily for you, we are in the Beta and feel the need to give you all a sneak peek at this new, awesome game.
Usually we would write about a little indie Android game developer who has made it big on the Android platform with their game. However this is a bit different as it actually pertains to a major developer, Rovio. Angry Birds is already a smash hit on the iPhone, ranked #1, and we knew it would be a success on Android. Well here is just how much it is a success.
Hella Umbrella, developed by Ramblin’ Wreckage, is a very unique platformer that can now be had in beta form from the Android Market. I snagged the beta and gave it a very thorough run through. Although the beta has only three levels they have a great rang of difficulty. The first level starts you off as a basic training level to get you up and up on how the game plays.
We have been following an MMORPG for Android that has been in development for quite some time now. While it seems as though it will always be in beta a new version was just released and includes a huge amount of improvements and changes including the overall look. Even better still is that there are still available spots open for beta testers should you want to sign-up!
When we first started one of the very first stories we posted was about a game in beta phase called Runes. This is a 3D MMORPG for Android phones which features just about everything you would find in an MMORPG but designed for playing on your phone. Since then we’ve kept our eye on it watching it develop over time and recently Runes went into a Beta III phase.
The folks over at Battery Powered Games quietly released a 3D OTS (over-the-shoulder) shooter game called Deadly Chambers last night in beta form for public testing. This game supports only OpenGL ES 2.0 and comes complete with multitouch. If you buy the game now, you’ll get the full version for a reduced price to help with beta testing!
